Force ads to play muted when the browser requires it
The TargetVideo player mutes autoplaying videos if Chrome's Media Engagement Index (MEI) is too low, but users can disable this setting to require a click for playback with sound.
Your browser's capability to automatically play videos with sound might rely on your Chrome Media Engagement Index (MEI). To check your MEI, type the following into your Chrome address bar: chrome://media-engagement/
Typically, if your MEI doesn't meet a specific level, the TargetVideo player will automatically play videos with the sound muted to preserve the autoplay functionality. However, if you want to change this setting for any reason, you can turn off this option for your player. This will make the player operate in a click-to-play mode with sound turned on by default.
