This setting how frequently an ad will be called, specifically, after how many videos an ad will be displayed to the viewer. When you configure this setting, the player will initially request an ad when the video starts playing, and subsequently, it will adhere to the specified frequency value.
It's important to note that this value does not reset on page refresh.
Here's an example to illustrate how it works:
Suppose the ad frequency is set to 3 on the player level. When a user visits a page with the player and starts watching a video, they receive a pre-roll ad. The ad frequency measurement starts, and a countdown begins. For the next 3 videos played on the playlist (if the user remains on the page), no pre-roll ad will be shown.
If the user decides to refresh the page after the initial pre-roll ad call, the player's ad frequency logic will still be active. The refresh will not trigger a pre-roll ad. This behavior continues until the user has viewed 3 videos without an advertisement.
