Videos won’t play on iPhone or other mobile devices

Make sure that you are serving an MP4/H.264 video file. It is the only supported format on mobile devices.

Be sure your MP4/H.264 video file doesn’t exceed the maximum resolution/bitrate supported by your mobile device.

Another widely supported format is HLS adaptive streaming.
