With Target Video, you can easily broadcast and manage your live event to an audience around the world. To get started with live streaming, we recommend using Telestream Wirecast or OBS.
Steps:
- Login to CMS and select your site.
- On the left-hand menu, click on the LIVESTREAM option and then on the CREATE LIVESTREAM V2 button.
Here, you can set up and start your live streaming server: - Add a title and optionally a description.
- Choose Livestream Server Region: USA or Europe.
- Max Encoding Preset: Select from 540p to 1080p.
- Maximum Inactivity Time: Define the auto-stop time for the server after inactivity.
- Live DVR Duration: If enabled, this allows viewers to rewind your live stream up to 23 hours into the past.
- Max Time-shifted Playback Duration: Enables viewers to start watching a live stream from an earlier time, allowing them to join from the beginning of a show that’s already in progress or to watch a completed show. You can enable time-shifted viewing for content up to 14 days old.
- 360 Stream: Enable if your video is 360.
- Automatic Recording: Once enabled, the stream will be recorded from the moment you start streaming and saved once the recording is stopped. You can also make short recordings during the stream as needed.
- IAB Content Taxonomy: Add an IAB taxonomy category.
- Tags: Add custom video tags.
- Click on the NEXT button and allow some time for your live streaming instance to be set up. This usually takes up to 2 minutes.
- Once server resources are allocated, you will see your Livestream ID and an SRT Entry Point URL that you can use to connect your source stream to Brid. Use the URL to set up your output settings in Wirecast or OBS.
- Click Next to grab the embed code.
Setting Up Your Encoder (OBS)
- Launch the OBS Studio software and click on the Settings menu.
- Click on the Stream section and, in the Service drop-down menu, select Custom.
- In the Server field, enter the SRT URL.
- Click Apply and OK.
- Start the stream by clicking the Start Streaming button.
Please allow up to 2 minutes for our system to pick up your stream and start serving it.
