Video Snapshots
A snapshot will be created for every uploaded video rendition. These snapshots are used based on the player height to provide the most suitable quality.
By default, LD (Low Definition) and SD (Standard Definition) snapshots are provided.
When full snapshot support is enabled, the selection follows this quality mapping:
-
Up to 240p – LD (Low Definition)
-
241p to 360p – SD (Standard Definition)
-
361p to 480p – HSD (High Standard Definition)
-
481p to 540p – MHD (Medium High Definition)
-
541p to 720p – HD (High Definition)
-
721p to 1080p – FHD (Full High Definition)
-
1081p to 1440p – QHD (Quad High Definition)
-
1441p to 2160p – 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition)
-
2161p to 4320p – 8K Full UHD (Full Ultra High Definition)
This behavior ensures that snapshot quality aligns with the player size when extended snapshot generation is enabled.
